When besieged by a culture's tightly woven illusion of a satisfying life, humans become deceived by what constitutes happiness. Seduced by this false notion of achievement, a formulaic routine offers security which derails the unexpected and whatever possibilities that may have presented themselves in life are comfortably, and perhaps unknowingly, stowed away to never reach actualization. Left unmitigated, this routine will surely promise a slow death of desire and ultimately death itself through a societal personal "rock bottom." Contested, these prioritized illusions of content can, with conscious effort, be rearranged to reflect a heightened awareness of one's own desires, salvaging what spiritual rot that has occurred. This will lead to self-actualization and a truer sense of happiness. Content: The Decay of Passion reflects the misguided notions of desire that can exist in our lives and how they can undo our personal growth.
